ZEBRA COMICS BUILDING A REPUTATION FOR CONSISTENCY

It is no doubt that when it comes to publishing comics in Africa, consistency has always been a problem.  There are tons of mobile apps for comics in Africa, but no one has been able to provide content consistently and with equal measure on quality.  However, Zebra comics since the beginning of 2023 has proven to break from that drawback. They have been releasing comics every two days , and this February, they took it up a notch to daily publications. We hope they can keep up with this pace, for the African comics space truly needs this level of consistency and dedication.  By our assertion at the Geek Chimp, Zebra Comics is currently the most reliable comic book app in Africa. Some even say it is the best so far, considering the user experience. In a later article, we shall go in depth into the functionalities of the Zebra Comics app. Download Zebra Comics from google play store. And if you use and iOS device, go to https://zebra-comics.com to be granted access to their platform.

THE NEED FOR AFRICAN COMICS

The need for African comics is growing as the global success of Black Panther has opened up opportunities for African storytellers to showcase their unique perspectives and stories. African comics bring an important layer of authenticity to the comic book world, giving readers a richer and more diverse experience.

African comics tell stories that are often inspired by traditional African cultures and beliefs. These stories represent African values and perspectives, and provide a platform for African superheroes to emerge. These comics give a voice to African storytellers and help to challenge stereotypical views of African characters and stories.

African comics also provide an opportunity to explore issues of identity, power, and representation. These stories can help to bridge the gap between diverse cultures, and create a more inclusive and understanding world.

In addition, African comics are often used to help educate and empower young readers. Through these stories, readers can gain a greater understanding of African cultures and gain insight into important social issues.

The need for African comics is great, and it’s important that we continue to support and promote African storytellers. By doing so, we can help to create a more diverse and inclusive comic book world.

This blog will follow those making a difference in African and the African diaspora, to report the work they are doing in telling their stories. We shall keep an eye on studios like Youneek Studios, Zebra Comics, Epoch Comics, Black Sands Entertainment, Comic Republic, Spoof Animation, Flyboy Kwezi, Etan Comics, Stranger Comics etc.
